Affiliate disclosure. The partner link in the masthead and beside the copy on this page is a sponsored link to a partner operator, and this site may be paid if you open an account through it, at no extra cost to you. It carries rel="sponsored noopener" and opens in a new tab. Nothing about that payment depends on what is written here: these pages contain no ranking, no review and no recommendation of any operator, studio or game, no prediction and no “system”, and no claim that any product is available in your territory. Explaining how a game is supplied, certified and identified is not advice to play it — a game whose build is certified and correctly identified still loses money at its stated rate.

Questions

Ten questions readers ask about the supply chain, answered in the order they usually arrive. Every answer is expanded on the page named beside it.

Direct answerStudios build games and operators stock them; suppliers hold their own market approvals; a name is a brand while a build is the artefact; certification covers one build in one market; and the only figure that applies to you is the one published inside the build you are playing. Short answers below, with the mechanism on the linked pages.

What the FAQ does not answer

It does not tell you which games to play, which operators to use, or whether any particular title is worth playing — those questions have no honest neutral answer and this desk does not attempt them. It also does not name studios, laboratories, regulators or operators: where a mechanism exists in a market, the page describes the mechanism, and the job of naming a specific company belongs to the market\u2019s own register.
